Summer is here and if you’re looking for a way to beat the heat and keep the kids busy – check out Richmond’s line up of outdoor pools and water parks.

Steveston Outdoor Pool/Steveston Community Park

Steveston Outdoor Pool is a great place for a quick dip on a hot summer day! The facility features a 25-metre heated pool, an additional shallow pool for tots and bleacher seating so you can keep an eye on the kids while they play. Adjacent to the pool is Steveston Community Park that boasts a sweeping playground and water park.

South Arm Outdoor Pool

10100 South Arm Place, Richmond

South Arm Outdoor Pool is nestled within South Arm Park – a one-stop-shop for family fun this summer. The pool facility features a large pool, a wading pool for tots and a large picnic area, making it the perfect local spot to spend the day!

Burkeville Neighbourhood Park

1060 Catalina Crescent, Richmond

In addition to a playground, tennis and basketball courts, Burkeville Neighbourhood Park also has a water park area and a wading pool for toddlers and children.

Dixon Neighbourhood Park

9331 Diamond Road, Richmond

Located next to Dixon Elementary School, Dixon Neighbourhood Park features half basketball courts, sports fields, playgrounds and a wading pool and spray park.

King George/Cambie Community Park

4160 No. 5 Road, Richmond

Located in East Richmond, this 48-acre park offers plenty of amenities. A community garden, a picnic area, sports fields, walking trails and a water park make this a great neighbourhood spot to get in some activity and cool off this summer.

Lang (Saba/Buswell) Park

8211 Saba Road, Richmond

One of the lesser-known parks in Richmond, Lang Park is located in an urban setting, right in the city centre. Albeit a small park containing benches and seasonal foliage – in the summer it comes alive with a water splash pad. If you live in the neighbourhood and haven’t checked this one out, grab the kids and have fun cooling off at Lang Park this summer.
